Our fishing pool is open from dawn until dusk every day. It has disabled access and is close to the car park. The pool is available to hire for matches (minimum of 6 of the 12 pegs hired). If you would like a match organised please feel free to contact John Potts on 01432 830 787. The lake is stocked with all varieties of carp including at least two koi carp, one of which is expected to be 12lb+. The lake also stocks tench, dace, roach, bream and rudd.
You can expect to catch fish upwards of 8-10 lbs fairly regularly, so bring a strong line. Due to the considerable size of some of the fish it is advisable that a minimum poundage of 10lb line, if targeting the larger specimen carp.No keep nets allowed unless by prior arrangement for a bona fide match.All anglers must have their own landing net.
Carp well over 20lb are caught regularly with the current record standing at 30lb 4oz-summer 2008.
The record match bag total is 308lb-Summer 2008.
Day tickets are available from the house:
Adult day ticket - £6.00 (£3 after 5pm)
Night fishing (12 hours) £15 pppn (by prior arrangement only)
